OKLAHOMA CITY – Every first Friday of the month, the community is invited to take a stroll through the historic Paseo Arts District. Restaurants

will be open for on-site meals, terraces and take-out meals.

All guests are encouraged to wear a mask indoors, practice social distancing, and use the hand sanitizer provided.

The first Friday of this month is September 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be the same weekend as the 44e Annual Paseo Arts Festival September 4, 5 and 6. Parking will be available in the neighborhood and guests are welcome to walk or cycle.

The Paseo Arts and Creativity Center (PACC) is pleased to present two exhibitions in September: in Gallery One, a small group exhibition featuring works by Bianca Roland and Aimee Eischen, and in Gallery Two, the Photofest exhibition.

A special opening reception at PACC will be held on Friday, September 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Gallery One presents the works of Eischen and Roland who both use art as a means of self-healing. Eischen’s is an abstract artist whose work experiments with different mediums including acrylic, watercolor, graphite, ink, and oil.

Roland is a self-taught, multidisciplinary artist presenting an abstract and extradimensional fantasy of bold and colorful landscapes that evoke the chaotic nonsense of Wonderland and Oz.

Gallery Two is exhibiting Photofest 2021, a jury-rigged photography exhibition open to all types of photography-based artwork, including traditional and digital processes and mixed media works featuring photography.

This year’s juror is MJ Alexander.

His plays have been published by The New York Times and Time Magazine and featured in more than two dozen solo exhibitions.

The International Photography Hall of Fame describes her as “combining the vision of an artist with the skills of a storyteller”.

Both shows will be open until September 25.

Oklahoma City‘s unique arts destination, the Paseo Arts District is located between 27th and 30th streets NW and Walker & Hudson.

Every first Friday, the Paseo Galleries feature special themed exhibitions, guest artists, and a variety of live entertainment, all within walking distance. 10 restaurants and a handful of other shops complete the distinctive atmosphere of Paseo.
