Obituary of Rebekah Franklin (1981 – 2021) – Oklahoma City, OK
Born May 8, 1981, died early in the morning December 22, 2021. She was predeceased by her father, Norman Carl Williams. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Williams, her sisters Beth Williams and Ruth (Jim) Kaptein, and her children, Ryan and Megan Franklin, and her stepdaughters Cynthia and Breanna.
Rebekah grew up on a farm outside of Rapid City, South Dakota. She loved to run, climb trees, help her mother in the garden and play with her kittens. The family later moved to Nebraska where they attended school and met several of their good friends. She enrolled in Arlington Baptist College after high school and soon after was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. That didn’t stop her from getting married and starting a family. Her condition worsened over the years, but she always said her best years were spending time with her kids, dancing in her wheelchair, doing road art and visiting her “brothers.” “to the Moore Fire Department. She wanted to “change the world” with kindness and make people smile. She was on the front page of the Moore newspaper and had a brief story about her in the evening news. She loved Moore and the community with all her heart.
She now walks with her father and Heavenly Father in heaven.
We ask that all donations be sent to the Moore Fire Department or the National MS Society.
She will be missed every day.
