Gifts from OKSTABLE Two-fer – The City Sentinel
OK STABLE made the giveaways easier and the giveaway comes at two prices. When OK STABLE is changed to Sunday as CFO he also changed the online portal. Now, donating money to someone’s OK STABLE account is as easy as a few clicks of a button and you’re good to go.
You can choose the occasion for the contributions; congratulations, birthday, holiday, heal, just because and other occasions, then add your preferred gift method, bank, credit card, or debit card, and voila.
What makes these gifts a âtwo-ironâ is that any contribution (gift) made to an OK STABLE account is an Oklahoma state tax credit. If an aunt, uncle, grandparent or friend would like to help someone with a disability plan for financial security, they can donate to the person’s OK STABLE account. If you know someone with a disability, ask if they have an OK STABLE account.
If they don’t, tell them to check out www.okstable.org and open an account. Let them know that you would like to help help them save for the future, meet their financial needs, which also protects them against losing much-needed benefits like Medicaid and other disability services. Go ahead and let them know that you also get a bonus.
Tell them: âyou will get a tax credit for the contributionâ.
For those who don’t know, OK STABLE is a savings account designed for short and long term savings. Prior to OK STABLE, a person with a disability needing help from programs such as Medicaid and Disability Services was not allowed to have more than $ 2,000 in assets, which includes savings accounts, money in his pocket and funds in his checking account combined. This rule prevented a person with a disability from saving for things like a down payment on a car or house or even a high quality motorized chair.
OK STABLE has enabled many people with disabilities to save and spend money without asset limitation when using an OK STABLE account.
My name is Wanda Felty and my daughter, Kayla, has had an OK STABLE account for almost three years. We have been using the gift option since we opened the account. The Sumday management system has made this process much easier. We know that our family members want to give Kayla gifts for her birthday, Christmas and even âjust becauseâ – all year round.
Several times they would call and ask her what she needed or what she wanted. I knew they were talking about what little gift, item of clothing, toy or even food gift card she needed. She really didn’t need any items, what she needed was a custom bed that she and I couldn’t afford, and I knew our family couldn’t afford it either. I knew I couldn’t ask them to send money because she couldn’t have too much money in her bank account. So they would send a nightgown or a little toy or something so that Kayla would know that they loved her and that they wanted to celebrate with her. But after I opened the OK STABLE account, I was able to share the link to the information about the gift / contribution to our family.
I even shared with them that she was saving for that special bed. From now on, the members of our family do not hesitate to send him a small gift, then to make a contribution as a gift on his OK STABLE account. With this option, I know she will be able to get the bed she needs and wants, and I know our family and friends who live in Oklahoma will also get their share of the “two-fer” by. receiving this tax credit.
