FANS 4 OKLAHOMA: Westlake Ace donations lead to over 500 fans

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The heat is back this week, a perfect opportunity to help Oklahoma residents in need cool off!

Our fan drive is on and Westlake Ace Hardware customers have performed well with over 500 fans donated.

Donations from fans during the Fan Drive.

For Major Charles Powell, this year was a first.

“Well, it’s my sixth day at the office,” the major explained. “[OKC] is a great place, we have enjoyed it so far. I look forward to the work we do to help those in need in this community! “

It is a community that continues to flourish.

We’re just over a month down the road from a Rococo restaurant, where nearly 100 fans have been dropped off.

In recent weeks, group purchases in Westlake Ace metro hardware stores have generated more than $ 7,500 in donations.

“There are so many people in this community who come home to a greenhouse at night,” said Major Powell. “Having air circulated by a fan would mean a lot to them.”

As July temperatures soar, this donation from 544 fans doesn’t come too soon.

The fan drive is far from over, and we still need your help!

You can donate money or drop off a new unopened boxed ventilator at any Salvation Army location or KFOR station.
