Enid community continues to mourn 2-year-old girl killed in hotel

The community of Enid continues to mourn the loss of a 2 year old girl who was killed in a hotel. It’s been just over a month since a 2 year old girl was abducted, sexually assaulted and killed from a hotel in Enid. Her life was taken too soon but she has not been forgotten. A vigil was held outside the Enid courthouse which was just one example of how the community is supporting 2-year-old Caliyah Guyton. was a really tragic thing that happened here and I wanted to help raise awareness of what happened,” said Elani Ging, a resident of Enid. They distributed stickers and shirts after his murder. “All the material was donated because we wanted to keep it totally free. I didn’t want anyone to have to spend a dollar to support this,” Ging said. They said it started with making a few for family and friends and then the demand became overwhelming with the community all wanting to show their support. I wanted to help everyone who didn’t live in our little town know what happened,” Ging said. They donated to people across the state until they ran out of supplies. >> Girl murdered at Enid Hotel “We really tried to make a difference and tried to let everyone know that we have our backs and that these children are not alone,” Ging said. The case is now progressing in court and suspect Michael Geiger appeared on Monday. Geiger has been charged with the alleged kidnapping, rape and murder of the little girl from a local hotel. Documents showed he lured the girl with candy and cartoons. The parents later found her in the hotel pool. Geiger’s next court date is set for early July.
