First business expansion outside of the western United States

OKLAHOMA CITY, December 07, 2021– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Top-rated mobile carrier Consumer Cellular announced today that it will bring more than 300 full-time and part-time jobs to Oklahoma City over the coming months.

The average full-time employee will earn approximately $ 54,000 per year and have full insurance benefits. Additional benefits include flexible hours and work-from-home options. Employees are also entitled to reimbursement of tuition fees and other incentives.

The move to Oklahoma City marks the first time in the company’s 25-year history that it has expanded outside of its corporate headquarters into offices in Arizona or Oregon.

Consumer Cellular CEO Ed Evans said Oklahoma City is strategically located in the center of the country, making it the perfect location for this expansion.

“As our business continues to grow, expanding our footprint is critical to staying competitive,” said Evans. “Oklahoma City is the perfect place to serve our customers located in the center of the country. I appreciate the support of our team, as well as all of our state partners who have helped make this possible. With this move, we look forward to improving our award-winning service while being a community partner in Oklahoma City. “
